Yes, it is worth to visit Medellín, it has good weather, and some nice places to go. If you like arepa food won’t be a problem for you. But what I really like are some of the towns around Medellín, like Santa Fe de Antioquia, that has a precious colonial downtown. Guatape is very nice too.
Definitely do it! so worth it, don’t go there during jan-feb, it is hot as hell and very turisty and ocationally it gets a lot of rain during that time. In the desert area, even one drop of rain is a disaster, roads are closed, tours are shut down. San Pedro de Atacama is just a category by itself.
